The Importance of an Album

When my wife and I married we chose a photographer who would shoot the film we supplied, and we processed and printed the resulting images (mostly because we had a strong preference for hand-printed black and white images). The images turned out wonderfully, but the production of a wedding album never really seemed very urgent. We've moved five times since then, have started jobs and businesses, had clients to please, and have always found that there was something more pressing the wedding album we planned to complete "some day."

As I write this we are weeks away from our tenth wedding anniversary and we still don't have an album. When I stress the importance of an album to you, it's my own experience that's behind it.

Album Designs

I now outsource album design to the album manufacturers themselves, as they are able to produce stunning designs that I simply can't match. Image creation motivates me more than image presentation, and great designs really maximize the impact of my work.

Turnaround Times

Album designs are available for online viewing within two weeks from the day I submit the images. I hate to overpromise, so I'll say you should see your designs within three and a half weeks of your wedding, and your album should be in your hands two to three weeks after you approve the design. You'll work directly with the designers to fine tune your design. I'll only become involved if you want to include images I didn't originally choose for the album.

Albums and Album Manufacturers

I now offer two album choices: a modern album design, and a contemporary coffee table book. Both are an excellent way to present and protect your images.

Please note that these images were taken from the manufacturer's web site.
